theme/holiday. Students enjoy acting like a caterpillar during Bug Unit,
waving black scarves (bats) during October, going on a Dinosaur Hunt and
learning color recognition in the color song. Music and movement
activities change monthly. *In December we do an ALL SCHOOL Christmas
Program.
Story-time
This is an all

literature through the use of flannel board, puppets, props, songs, big

Outdoor
Learning
We
value connecting children to the natural world. Our preschool has
designed an outdoor classroom area that helps children interact with
nature. Each classroom enjoys planting in our school wide garden. We
also give children opportunities to experience worms, ladybugs and
butterflies. Our mature trees help give us shade but also help teach
children about the different components of trees. We use our outdoor
classroom to read books, paint, go on bear hunts and write. Ladybug
students are given daily outside time to develop social/emotional,
language and gross motor skills. Ladybug students have the opportunity
to explore water tables, sand, our riding path, yellow play house, and a
large heat resistant play structure. |
